You do not have to close your Qafilaa account to get rid of something. Most of what Qafilaa holds about you can be deleted item by item, from inside the app, without asking anyone. What is left is listed below with the address to write to.
Delete it yourself, in the app
These take effect immediately and need no request. Deletion is permanent — there is no bin to restore from.
- Emergency contacts, bikes, documents and permits — open the list in Settings and swipe a row away, or use the delete icon on the item.
- Your medical card — Settings → Medical card, clear the fields and save. Saving it empty removes it from our systems and from what your crew can see at a scene.
- Photos, notes, checklists, reminders and expenses — open the item inside the trip and delete it.
- A whole trip you host — open the trip and delete it. A trip the crew has already ridden can be archived rather than deleted, because the routes, photos and money of every other rider hang off it.
- Your UPI ID — Settings → Profile, clear the field and save.
Ask us to delete the rest
Two things have no self-serve button yet. Email admin@qafilaa.in from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my data”, and say which of these you want removed:
- Your location history — every position ping we hold for you, across all trips.
- Your ride history — recorded rides, route tracks and the statistics derived from them.
We may ask you to confirm the phone number the account was registered with, so that nobody else can delete your data. We action verified requests within 30 days, and normally within a few working days. Your account, trips and everything else stay exactly as they are.
What we cannot remove, and why
Qafilaa is a group product, so a little of what you see belongs to other riders too:
- Content other people wrote — their notes, their expenses, their photos — is theirs, and stays with them even if it names you.
- Money already settled stays on the trip's ledger. Deleting one side of a settled debt would silently change what another rider is owed.
- Safety alerts about other riders that you responded to remain part of their safety record, with the reference back to your account cleared.
- Routine backups and server logs age out on their own schedule, within 30 days.
