You can delete your Qafilaa account at any time. Deletion is permanent and immediate — there is no recovery window and no way for us to restore an account once it is gone.
Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest route and the one we recommend:
- Open Qafilaa and go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Account, then scroll to Danger zone.
- Tap Delete account and press and hold to confirm.
Delete without the app
If you have lost access to your phone or have already uninstalled Qafilaa, email admin@qafilaa.in from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm the phone number the account was registered with, so that nobody else can delete it. We action verified requests within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
What is deleted
Everything below is removed from our systems, in a single transaction — it either all goes or none of it does, so an account is never left half-erased:
- Your profile, phone number, email address and any connected Google or Apple sign-in.
- Your medical card, emergency contacts, driving licence details and saved documents.
- Your bikes, and the photos attached to them.
- Your location history: every position ping, ride track and route we hold for you.
- Your ride history, statistics and photo journal, including the stored image files.
- Your trip notes, checklists, reminders, expenses and settlements, and your membership of every trip.
- Any safety alert raised by you, along with its escalation records.
- Your sign-in sessions and the credentials your device used to send its position, so nothing can reconnect afterwards.
- Trips and groups that only ever had you in them are deleted outright, along with everything planned inside them.
What is not deleted, and why
Qafilaa is a group product, so a small amount of information necessarily belongs to other riders as well as to you. We keep only what would otherwise damage their records:
- Trips still shared with other riders continue to exist for them. Your membership and your personal rows are removed from them.
- Safety alerts about other riders that you responded to or marked resolved are kept as part of their safety record, but the reference back to your account is cleared — the entry no longer identifies you.
- Content other people wrote — their notes, their expenses, their photos — is theirs, and stays with them.
- Routine backups and server logs age out on their own schedule, within 30 days.
Want a copy first?
Deletion cannot be undone, so if you want your data before it goes, use Settings → Account → Export my data in the app first, or email admin@qafilaa.in. We will send a downloadable copy to your registered email address.
