About Qafilaa
Qafilaa is a free group riding app for motorcycle trips across India, Nepal and Bhutan. It keeps the whole group on one live map, works where there is no signal, and sends crash alerts to the riders nearest you first.
What Qafilaa is
What the name means
Qafila is a Hindi and Urdu word for a caravan: a group travelling together, moving at the pace of its slowest member and arriving together. That is what a group ride is, so the app is named after it.
The brand is spelled with two a's at the end: Qafilaa. People also type it as qafila, kafila, kaafila or qaafila. If you searched for one of those and were looking for the motorcycle riding app, you are in the right place. Qafilaa is not connected to other apps, groups or businesses that use the word.
Why it exists
On a long mountain ride, the danger is not only the road. It is being out of contact. Riders spread out on a pass, the signal goes, and nobody knows who is behind whom. When something goes wrong, an ambulance can be hours away and the rider behind you minutes away.
Qafilaa is built around that. It keeps the whole group on one live map, gives every rider a pre-agreed place to regroup that needs no signal, and sends crash alerts to the riders nearest you first. Around that sits the planning a group trip needs: a day-wise itinerary, stays, permits and shared expenses.
What we will not do
No advertising, no data broker, no cross-app tracking and no public map. Your live location is shared only with the riders on your trip, only while a ride is active. The privacy policy and the data safety page say exactly what is collected and why.
